You know that feeling when you visit with a friend you havent seen for a while , that cozy feeling, that makes you feel safe, supported and loved, That is the environment i create for you and your newborn in my riverfront home studio.
My newborn sessions take place in the first 3 weeks of you babies life. Typically in the 10 day to 16 day window . My cozy studio is warm and cozy, and I provide all the blankets, props, hats, outfits and headbands you see in my work.
I make it easy for you so all you need to do is show up with your precious baby.
How it works is I hold a spot in the month you are due and adjust my schedule to get you in at the perfect time, during weekday hours.
I am a both skilled natural light and studio light photographer and will seamlessly interchange lighting during your session to achieve the most beautiful and cohesive gallery.
My sessions are baby led, and i look to baby for both physical and verbal cues to let me know when they need breaks, and if they are comfortable in positions. I know what to look for to ensure they are always safe.
My sessions average 3 hours, this is to give baby time to fall asleep, and for me to safely pose them, dress them or wrap them, for then to take nursing breaks.
i am happy to include older siblings and immediate family images as part of the session at no extra fee. However older children are only permitted in the studio for the first half hour and must leave with a family member or friend so I can focus on baby safety.
On top of that, I truly listen to my clients. I've been told that our sessions end up feeling like a therapy session, a spa visit, and a photo shoot all wrapped into one.

My sessions typically book out 3-4 months in advance. I currently do not offer sessions July & Aug as I take off Summer to spend with my family, How it works is I hold a spot in the month you are due and then adjust my schedule to get you in at the perfect time.
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SESSION?
I am based in Kamloops BC.
The studio address will be provided to you once your deposit has been paid, baby is born and session date & time is confirmed.
Where are you located ?
My newborn sessions happen when baby is under 3 weeks old. However if a nicu stay is required we adjust session date for babys health and safety. Babies older than 6 weeks are much less sleepy and harder to pose like a newborn, and would fall into a baby session category.
how old should baby be?
3-4 months in advance. I have very limited availability and only book a few sessions per month.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK YOU?
No, I do not offer travel sessions. My studio is climate controlled to ensure the perfect temperature for our sessions. As well as all the props, blankets, posing & lighting equiptment, make travel not a possibility.
do you travel?
As I have very limited availability I do typically book out months in advance, however that is not to say I might have last minute avaiilability too. I would encourage you to reach out and connect. If baby is older than 6 weeks, I will suggest a baby session instead.
My Baby is already here, can I still book?
a $400 retainer is taken to save your session spot. The retainer is non refundable,. It can be paid via etransfer.
